Egypt took on policies of free markets since the end of the 80's, thus the need to change the management practices presented itself to adapt to this philosophy. To satisfy this need MDCI was stablished in 1989. Founders of this institute have utilized the expertise of similar institutes in countries of the developed world countries, which is because the institute was founded in the first place to help the businesses in Egypt removed cope with the new economical philosophy during the stages of development. This institute acts as a national center of expertise to help and support Egyptian and Arab business organizations to increase there efficiency and competitiveness.
