The Minister of Investment, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, released at statement today that Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Nazif, has issued a decree to appoint Mr. Osama Abdel Moneim Saleh Chairman of the General Authority for Investment (GAFI) for one year, effective August 26, 2010.

The decree also appointed Mrs. Nivine el-Shafie, Mrs. Wafa'a Sobhi Ibrahim and Mr. Abdel Moneim Mohamed Safwat El-Alfi GAFI deputy chairpersons.

A group of experienced figures and investors were appointed as GAFI board members for one year also:
- Eng. Hussein Sabbour
- Dr. Khalid Serri Siyam
- Mr. Sherif Samir Mahmoud Sami
- Mr. Tariq Tawfiq Abdel Fattah
- Mr. Kamel Magdi Saleh
- Mr. Mohamed Nagiub Ibrahim Abdel Magid
- Dr. Nader Noshi Riad
- Dr. Hani Salah Serri Eddin
- Mr. Yasser Abdel Hakim El Kady
