As the end of June 2009, the number of financial leasing companies registered at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones reached 267. 

At the end of June 2009, the accumulative number of the contracts of the financial leasing companies reached 11989, and the total amount of the financing reached L.E 27.9 billion.

However, as for the first half of the year 2009, the total number of the contracts of the financial leasing companies reached 661, and the financing amount reached around L.E 1.28 billion
